AEROB TERMOFIL SLAMSTABILISERING processteknik och tillämpningar Aerobic Thermophilic Digestion – Technique and Applications
Aerobic thermofilic digestion (liquid composting) is an autothermal sludge stabilisauon process that normally operates at temperatures higher than 50°C. The process requires electric power for mixing and aeration. Otherwise, the technique is simple and reliable. A treatment plant which is properly designed and operares at high remperature produces a sludge that is stabilized, odourless and has a good hygienic quality. The technique has been developed since the late 60‘s. Nowadays it is used in Switzerland and Germany for treatment of manure and sewage sludge before spreading on arable land. Some countries also have regulatory time-temperature functions for pathogen reduction in the aerobic thermofilic digestion process.
