DAGENS SAMORDNADE RECIPIENTKONTROLL – BRA ELLER DÅLIG? / Regional Freshwater Monitoring Programmes in Sweden – Present Quality?
The Center for Environmental Monitoring at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences has on commission by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA), and as a part of the current inspection of national and regional environmental monitoring programmes, evaluated the regional freshwater monitoring programmes supervised by the County Administrations in Sweden. The task has been to compare the designs of the regional programmes with their aims and the advises concerning freshwater monitoring published by SEPA (1986). The evaluation shows that many of the programmes sustain high quality, while some of them do not fullfill the demands on modern recipient control. The coupling between aims, information needs and programme design are in the latter poor especially concerning sampling station positioning, sampling frequency and the list of analyzed parameters. “Complete abstract not presented.”
