VATTEN- OCH FÖRORENINGSTRANSPORT I EN ENHETSÖVERBYGGNAD / Water and Mass Transport in a Pervious Road Construction
Studies of the permeable road construction, known as »the Unit Super Structure», have been carried out at the Department of Water-Resources Engineering, Lund Institute of Science and Technology/University of Lund, Sweden. The project consisted of three parts: – Hydrological studies – Technical and mechanical studies of materials – Production technical and economical studies The project has been presented in several papers in English and German (see Hogland and Niemczynowicz 1986, Hogland et al. 1987 and Hogland 1987). The pervious road constructions are interesting because the traffic noise is lowered; the risk for aquaplaning on wet roads is reduced; the waterbalance is maintained; the discharge of stormwater and Combined Sewer Overflow to receiving water are reduced etc. “Complete abstract not presented.”
